The woman with the red hair at the front desk provided poor customer service and seems to be on some sort of medication - her eyes were glassy and she didn’t notice when I entered the front door and was standing at her desk. She wanted to argue with me instead of answering my questions and even went as far as to tell me that I must have pretended to be someone else on the phone. The other two employees at the front desk are lovely and so are the vet techs and the vet. If I had gotten another employee at the front desk, then the review would be 4 stars - 5 if they did the exam in the room with you.
I find the staff friendly they’re good with my dogs and cats and I love the vet. However my favorite vet just recently left. Most vets are pretty good. Only one had one I would never go back to and I would never recommend
This was the best place to say goodbye to our best friend and a part of the family he has gone very calm and happy.
Absolutely horrible! The vet doesn’t know how to give a an aggressive small cat shots. Had to go back three times long wait times no contact with the vet . previous vet would always come and talk to us and never had a problem giving my cat the needed shots totally disappointed and will never go back
Wish I could give 0 stars!! Banfield pet clinic should not be trusted with anyone’s pets. They told me that my precious cat would need a surgery that would cost over $700 for an injury he sustained on his paw due to him escaping and being outdoors for 2 weeks. They went to say how his paw would become deformed and possibly need amputation if we didn’t do it. Long story short we got a second opinion which was to just keep the wound clean which we did, and it healed beautifully. Now just imagine I put my poor cat through an unnecessary procedure had I trusted Banfield. NEVER AGAIN. Go to VCA in East hartford for trusted care.
No complaints about Banfield they took go care of my fur babies. The plan that Banfield had cover most of my babies care. I recommend it.
Dr. Steinberg was born to love and care for animals, my Nova,Harley, Maxine, Daisy receive his care, and the staff does the best even when it's crazy, but of course we as people, some people are not patient, that vet hospital is stellar, and they care more than you think about your pets well being.
Very disappointed with East Hartford Banfield, my 11 month old puppy swallowed a squeaky from one of her toys this morning, I called Banfield and explained what happened. They proceeded to tell me I needed to bring her to the emergency vet, I asked if they could just give her something to induce vomiting, they told me it had been too long, 30 minutes. I have been a client of theirs for over 10 years, with my dogs on the insurance plan. I brought her to west Hartford’s emergency vet. They induced vomiting, and by then it had been 1 hour, she thankfully got it up. But at the cost of $380. Very angry that they couldn’t have done the same thing and the visit would have been on my plan. Think it’s time for a new vet! They can’t be bothered anymore with the welfare of my dogs!!!
